Resilience, communication, and understanding one another’s experience, is at the heart of strong workplace communities. To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week (May 12th-16th), we're inviting you to bring meaningful, energizing conversations into your workplace with the offer of one exclusive free workshop designed to spark connection, build resilience, and empower your communities.

There are three workshops for you to choose from:

Free workshops are available Monday 12th May-Thursday 15th May 2025 only.
Workshops are to be delivered at 10am or 11am and 2pm or 3pm BST.
We use Teams to facilitate the conversation, but are happy if you want to use your company platform alternative (zoom, google hangouts etc.).
One workshop per company.
Workshops are delivered virtually and are not permitted to be recorded.
Workshops are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline for form submission is 5pm BST April 30th 2025, forms submitted after this time may not be considered.
Bookings are not confirmed without a contract from us.

Workshop #1 - Stronger Together: Building a Resilient Workplace Community

Mental well-being thrives in connection, and a strong sense of community can be a powerful tool in supporting mental health at work. Join Kate Smith from We Are Firestarter in this short, interactive workshop exploring how fostering a culture of belonging, open conversations, and mutual support can enhance resilience and well-being for individuals and teams alike.

Participants will gain:

  • Insights into how connection and shared experiences can improve resilience and overall well-being.

  • Practical strategies to create a more inclusive and supportive workplace community.

  • Tools to engage in meaningful conversations about mental health with colleagues.

Workshop #2 - The Power of Words: Effective Communication for Well-being

How we communicate has a profound impact on mental well-being—both our own and those around us. Join Kate Smith from We Are Firestarter, and Jen O’Shaughnessy-Beal from Bloomwrite as they explore how mindful communication, active listening, and compassionate conversations can foster a supportive and mentally healthy workplace.

Participants will gain:

  • An understanding of how communication can impact our workplace communities.

  • Techniques for clear, empathetic, and supportive communication in the workplace.

  • Tips for contributing to a culture of openness and psychological safety.

Workshop #3 - Menopause in the Workplace: How to Start, Sustain, and Normalise Courageous Conversations in your Community

Opening up or expanding the conversation around menopause in the workplace has become a focus for many organisations. Join Emma Thomas from Managing the Menopause to learn more about how ERGs can be catalysts for these important conversations, and what to consider when setting up a dedicated support network. You will take away resource lists and an audit toolkit with you.

Participants will gain:

  • Learn more about how menopause impacts individuals in the workplace settings.

  • How to engage different stakeholder groups to consider the experience of menopause.

  • Tips for kickstarting conversations about menopause in the workplace.
